Can You Help Break the Cycle of Addiction?

Fort Construction has started working with a wonderful organization called Adult & Teen Challenge. This is a faith-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation program with over 200 locations across the United States.

The Men’s Campus, located in Azle, currently has 36 participants, and can accept up to 40 at any given time. The campus is in need of renovations, to not only serve current residents, but allow even more into the program.

We are working with Adult & Teen Challenge on a grant proposal. Hopefully, they will receive that grant and we can also assist them with some of their construction needs.

This is an intensive 12-month program, providing room and board, counseling, faith-based ministry, daily chores, academics and work assignments. Amazingly, Adult & Teen Challenge has an 86% success rate – the highest rate in the country. And what is success? Five years after graduating from the program, a participant has not returned to their previous lifestyle.

This program relies 100% on your donations and assistance. Here’s a few ways you can help:

  • You can hire their workforce. They have worked the parking lots of Cowboy’s games, rodeos, concerts, clean up of construction sites, garage sales, clearing brush, moving, and working in their Thrift Store in Haltom City. They’ve done just everything, and hiring them is tax deductible.
  • Do you have unwanted clothes, household items or furniture? You can donate them to the Restored Thrift Store in Haltom City. They can pick up your donation.
  • They can use any size monetary donation. No one is turned away from this program regardless of ability to pay.
  • Interested in volunteering? They would welcome you.

Almost all of us know or love someone who has battled addiction. It is not an easy road. I encourage those who are interested to take a closer look at this program, and if you can, get involved.

You can call The Men’s Campus in Azle at (817)406-4441 to make a donation, inquire about using their workforce, or get more information on volunteering. The Restored Thrift Store can be reached at (817)887-9497.
