Update on Drive Nation: Youth Sports Complex Nearing Completion

Drive Nation will be a 77,000 SF facility that caters to helping kids hone their athletic skills.

Once complete, the site will feature a 50-yard indoor turf field, six basketball courts, 10 volleyball courts, an extensive weight room, and a full-service kitchen and concessions. Former NBA star Jermaine O’Neal is building this facility because, as he says, he noticed plenty of places that worked with adults, but no youth-oriented sports facilities.

So where are we on this project? The structure is up and complete, and we’re hanging sheetrock and installing the AC units. We’ve got the basketball goals installed, the volleyball nets are in, and we’re beginning to put the floor in for the basketball courts.

As for the exterior, brick and stucco is being added to the exterior, and the roads and parking lots are paved.

O’Neal hopes to provide top-notch training for kids in sports. Further, Drive Nation will serve as a site for tournaments, award ceremonies and banquets. It is located in Southgate Plaza on DFW Airport property.

Our expected completion date is the middle of October.
