According to the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition, there were almost 2,000 homeless people in our county in 2016. By their count, approximately 38 percent were women. In late October, the Presbyterian Night Shelter of Tarrant County opened the renovated Lowdon-Schutts Women’s Shelter.
