We Bought a Steer!

The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo has been an institution in our community for 120 years.  Each year, thousands attend to see the rodeo, stock shows, petting zoo, artwork, the carnival, parade, and various exhibits.

As many of you know, junior participants show steers, barrows, lambs, and goats in the livestock shows.  This year, according to the FWSS website, over 11,000 of these animals were shown.  A number of the animals are purchased with the proceeds helping the kids pay for college tuition, or for the maintenance and upkeep of their animals.

We joined forces with Buyers Barricade and bought a shorthorn steer from a San Antonio high school senior.  She did a terrific job!  We offer our congratulations on her hard work and dedication.

For those of you wishing to visit our shorthorn steer, unfortunately, we ran out of office space and cannot keep him here.  Maybe next year!
