Fort Worth Continues to Assist the Homeless Population

According to the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition, there were almost 2,000 homeless people in our county in 2016. By their count, approximately 38 percent were women. New Homeless Shelter for Moms and Their Kids

In early June, Presbyterian Night Shelter revealed their new homeless shelter for women and their children. The Morris Foundation Women and Children’s Center, located on Poplar Street in Fort Worth, has 40 dormitory-style rooms, a children’s room, dining room, computer center and outdoor playground.  The beautiful $8.4 million facility was paid for through local donations …
