Real Estate Execs Say DFW is Best

While we welcome 2019 with excitement, it appears that others share our optimism for the new year. Asked about their outlook for 2019, real estate industry executives ranked Dallas-Fort Worth highest for property investment and construction among 79 cities across the United States.

The rankings were released by the Emerging Trends in Real Estate report. The survey, sponsored by PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Urban Land Institute, polled more than 2,300 property owners, investors, lenders, builders, brokers and other property professionals about what they see for 2019.

With the consistent job growth and population increases, DFW outshined other cities. In the first six months of 2018, North Texas saw more than $11 billion in construction project starts. While DFW was tops in home and apartment building, it was also a leader in demand for all types of commercial real estate.

Certainly there are concerns including higher property insurance rates, rising interest rates, and immigration restrictions, only a small number of real estate professionals polled were pessimistic about 2019.

We’re excited to kick off a new year, and hope 2019 brings happiness and prosperity to everyone.
