I am very excited to announce that Ashley Tinsley has been promoted to Marketing Director and Business Development at Fort Construction. Despite her hectic schedule, she found some time to sit down and answer a few questions.
- Let’s start with the personal side …
I am a single mama to two precious boys (Bingham 5, Jameson 2). We live in Joshua, Texas, home of the Fighting Owls. I was born and raised in Crowley, but consider Fort Worth my second home. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2007 with a Business Degree in Marketing.
- How long have you been with Fort?
I started at Fort in January of 2013, while I was pregnant with my first son. I worked for about six weeks then took maternity leave. I knew then that Fort Construction was where I wanted to establish a long lasting career. I mean, who hires someone, then allows them to take off for two months? I was thrilled to be a part of this company.
- What is your new title?
Marketing Director & Business Development
- What was your previous title?
The most accurate description I have is Utility Player. My business cards were left blank because I couldn’t pin down one job title that would sum up all the tasks I did at the office.
- How will you help Fort in your new role?
My new role will consist of all the marketing efforts, both print and online, as well as working closely with Scott on the business development side to bring in new business opportunities.
- Why are you excited about this position?
I think the creative side of the business, and interacting with people comes naturally for me. I was already participating in numerous business events and organizations, and building relationships, so it seemed like a no brainer for me to focus on that full-time.
- What do you hope to accomplish in this position?
I hope to establish more friendships and business relationships with deep roots in Fort Worth (and all surrounding areas). I also want to continue making Fort Construction a “household name” in the real estate industry, and bring large volumes of business to the company. After all, we are a business, and the more work I can bring in, the more opportunity we can provide to our employees and to our community! I have some big goals, and I am ready to get after them.
- Fun fact people may not know?
Ken Evans, the Chief Operating Officer and Partner in the company, is also my dad. Some people have negative experiences about working with family, but I love working for my dad and wouldn’t change it for the world. We actually have quite a few employees who also have family members that work for the company, and I love that. Fort really is a family business!
We are beyond grateful for Ashley’s hard work and dedication. She has meant so many things to so many people, and she is a true asset to this company. It only took 5 ½ years, but Ashley is finally getting a title on her business cards!
