In an effort to create the same kind of neighborhoods that have popped up around Magnolia and West 7th, South Main Street is getting an $8.6 million renovation.
Some of the improvements will include wider sidewalks, bike lanes, protected parallel parking for adjacent businesses, and upgraded water, sewer and storm water utilities.
