I recently saw an article in the Fort Worth Business Press about the safest cities in Texas. Amazingly, 43 of the state’s 100 safest cities were located in North Texas.
The National Council for Home Safety and Security (NCHSC) looked at areas with a population over 10,000 and included its own research as well as FBI data.
Colleyville came in first in the state, and ranked 11th nationally. The city saw a two-percent decrease in reported crime in 2017. Colleyville’s Interim Police Chief Hillary Wreay credited their residents for not only supporting their men and women in uniform, but looking out for each other.
With Colleyville in first, here are the rest of the top five – and all in North Texas:
2. Keller
3. Trophy Club
4. Highland Village
5. Murphy
There is so much to appreciate about North Texas. We have a growing economy, a lower cost of living, numerous and varied extracurricular activities, and a wonderful sense of community. It was terrific to see so many of our cities make the “safe” list.
