Leadership

The Principals of Fort Construction, Scott Price, Ken Evans, and Dennis Averitt, have almost 100 years of combined experience in all aspects of General Contracting. This experience reflects a proven track record of results and a reputation for effectively leading and coordinating efforts with all of the stakeholders in the building process. Fort Construction is also now a LEED Certified general contractor.

Scott Price Scott Price

Scott Price has been in the construction industry for over 25 years. Scott learned the nuts and bolts of construction earlier in his career when he started as an Assistant Project manager on a large hotel project in Washington DC. From this, he went on to manage over $100 million in construction projects. Most recently, his talents have been focused more on the development side of the construction process. This, combined with his construction management experience, allows him to guide clients through the entire process from developing the initial vision to building out the final execution. Married for 20 years, with two boys, Scott serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Tarrant County, is on the Advisory Council for Cenikor Foundation, and the Board of Directors for Fort Worth, South Inc.

Ken Evans Ken Evans

Ken Evans has over 30 years of construction experience with a large portion of that time spent in and around Fort Worth, Texas. After graduation from Texas A&M University in 1980 with a degree in Construction Science, he moved to the Fort Worth area and joined a large local contractor where he worked on many downtown Fort Worth projects. Working as an engineer, field superintendent, and project manager, Ken has experienced every aspect of the building process and has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects including City Center I & II, Sundance East, the Worthington Hotel Ballroom Renovation, and Moncrief Radiation Center. He has been married for 32 years and has two daughters and two grandchildren. He serves on the Board of Directors for the E.R. Van Zandt Southwest YMCA and is active with Habitat for Humanity.

Dennis Averitt Dennis Averitt

Dennis Averitt grew up in the construction business starting out as a Union Carpenter in 1973, and is now a nationally respected General Superintendent. He is best known for his leadership as the Superintendent of the Bass Performance Hall and Fort Worth’s Modern Art Museum, both of which received AGC’s Build America Award. Dennis has supervised framing crews and concrete crews on many large projects, and has managed individual projects in excess of $200 million. He has worked with Ken for more than 20 years, and worked with Scott for 8 years. His experience in every facet of the building process provides a tremendous resource for our own staff and for our clients. He has been married for 30 years and has two children, both of whom are working in the construction industry.
