Best of Fort Worth Awards: Congratulations Le Cep and Whistle & Sway

 

Each year, Fort Worth, Texas magazine issues their Best of List.  With over 126,000 votes cast for 142 categories, it’s clear we support our local entrepreneurs and businesses.

We would like to recognize two recipients:  Le Cep and Whistle & Sway Salon

It’s hard to believe that we featured Sandra and David Avila in October of 2014.  At the time, their contemporary French restaurant, Le Cep, was just days away from the grand opening.

Architect Michael Bennett designed the space, and he recommended Fort Construction to complete the interior construction.  Since then, Chef Sandra and Le Cep have been featured in numerous magazines and articles; receiving rave reviews and compliments.

This year, Le Cep earned the Staff Pick for Wine List.  The restaurant, located in the Cultural District, offers 600-700 different wines, a variety of champagnes and ports.  You can read more about the Avila’s leap of faith in our article.

We’re also proud to recognize TJ Nolen, owner of Whistle & Sway Salon; Reader Pick for Best Hair Salon.

We partnered with Allen Architecture to turn this former flower shop into a unique, cozy salon that TJ could call his own.  We featured TJ and his salon in December of 2015, as they were celebrating their opening.  You can find the article here.

TJ’s favorite part of the salon is the shampoo room with its colors, finish, design and execution.  We have a feeling the real star of the show is TJ and his staff.
